Over a decade ago, in 2007, two incredibly talented artists, 50 Cent and Kanye West, engaged in a fierce battle for album sales supremacy, with neither artist truly losing. Both went on to become household names in the music industry.
Fast forward to the present day, and 50 Cent has some advice for Kanye West, who recently officially changed his name to Ye.
Kanye has been a controversial figure since the beginning, but the rapper, producer, and fashion mogul has recently faced significant backlash from the media and the public due to insensitive anti-Semitic comments he made. The artist, who recently went through a divorce with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, has also faced the consequences of severed business partnerships with major brands like Adidas and Balenciaga.
To make matters worse for Ye, there are reports circulating that Kanye has expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler. CNN reported on this allegation, citing “several people” who claimed that Kanye had made such a statement.
In response to these developments, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share his thoughts in a now-deleted post. He expressed, “People are really hurt by this situation. I’ve seen people in this position due to things they have done, not things they have said. Now you’ve got to master the art of keeping quiet! No, you’re going to make everybody hot. Go cool off!”
Just a few hours before the deleted post, 50 Cent had shared a screenshot in which Ye had asked 50 to join him in establishing a branch of Ye’s school, Donda School, in Houston.
50 Cent appeared open to the idea of building a school but stressed that Ye needed to take a step back and clear his mind first.
Known for his candid opinions on Instagram, 50 Cent isn’t one to hold back, and Kanye appears to be on a mission to capture everyone’s attention.
